Welcome to this month's Blog Hop. It is exciting to announce that two new Blog Hoppers are joining this monthly Blog Hop. A warm welcome to Michelle Irinyi and Renee Kohnke. This month, we are featuring our first sketch challenge! Sketches are a great tool when you can't find your creative mojo.
When I saw the three rectangles on this sketch, I immediately thought of our three grandgirls. Since I take a lot of photographs of them, I decided to create a 12" x 12" scrapbook layout using this sketch.
Basic Black, Whisper White and Powder Pink is the color scheme. The Daisy Delight Stamp Set and coordinating Daisy Punch are perfect to use on this layout. Because the photo boxes are long, I can easily put six photographs on this layout.
Base: 12" x 12" Basic Black Cardstock
First Layer: Two pieces of 8 1/2" x 11" Powder Pink Cardstock. Cut one piece to 3" x 11" for the bottom.
Second Layers: Two pieces of 3 1/4" x 7" Basic Black Cardstock and one piece of 3 1/2" x 7" Basic Black Cardstock
Third Layers: Two pieces of 3" x 7" Whisper White Cardstock and one piece of 3" x 7" Whisper White Cardstock
Fourth Layer: 1" x 12" Basic Black Cardstock
Fifth Layer: Stamp five daisies in Powder Pink Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Punch out with the Daisy Punch. Attach each daisy with one Dimensional to the Fourth Layer.
The 3" x 11" bottom piece of the Powder Pink Cardstock was placed inside the Ruffled Embossing Folder and put through the Big Shot. This was done twice; once for the left side and once for the right side. The final touch was to add one large Pearl to center of each daisy.
