It's time to get back to the pile of my hubby's sports memorabilia and get it into a scrapbook. I made two 12" x 12" scrapbook layouts from when Dan was a pole vaulter in high school. I used the Confetti Celebration and Labeler Alphabet Stamp Sets and the Large Letters Framelits. His school colors were Pacific Point and Whisper White. And, I added two neutral colors to the layouts: Smoky Slate and Basic Black
I used a 12" x 12" Smoky Slate Cardstock base and added an 8 1/2" x 11" piece of Pacific Point Cardstock at an angle. A newspaper article is also attached at an angle.
To commemorate the first time Dan set a new state Catholic school pole vaulting record in 1963 (11' 4"), I used the word Winner for the layout title. I made a faux medal using the Circle Framelits and the Banner Triple Punch.
I used a 12" x 12" Smoky Slate Cardstock base and added an 7" x 11" piece of Pacific Point Cardstock at the top. I added Basic Black Cardstock mats around the photograph, newspaper article and newspaper title. I added the date using the Labeler Alphabet in Black Memento Ink.
We certainly need to remember when Dan broke the state Catholic school pole vaulting record in 1964 (12' 7"). I used the negative part of the word "winner" at the bottom of the layout. I added the "yay" image from the Circle Framelits.
