Last Tuesday, Dan and I were suppose to meet some friends for brunch. They ended up getting sick, so our morning was unexpectedly free. That was just what I needed because my to do list had too much on it.
Dan helped me decorate 50 single-size bags of pretzels with a Christmas topper. These were put in backpacks for students who participate in The Sheridan Story weekend food program at Mississippi School in Coon Rapids.
The most efficient way to get a project like this done is to work like an assembly line.
Stamped the words from the Merry Everything Stamp Set in Real Red Ink on Whisper White Cardstock. Punched them out with the Note Tag Punch. DONE!
Mossy Meadow Cardstock was embossed with the Decorative Dots Embossing Folder and punched with the Tree Punch. The Gold Glimmer Paper was punched with the star from the Itty Bitty Accents Punch Pack. A Glue Dot was used to attach the star to the tree. DONE!
A Glue Dot held the Merry Christmas tag to the trees. Two Dimensionals were put on the back side of these. DONE!
I used retired Designer Series Paper and the retired Top Note Die to cut the toppers out and folded them in half. You could use the Deco Labels Framelits and get a similar look. DONE!
The Handheld Stapler was used to attach the toppers to the top of the mustard bags. DONE! And, my favorite part? Adding the Merry Christmas and tree to the center of the topper, which covered the staple. DONE!
Here's Mr. Dan learning how to punch shapes to conserve on paper (use the punch upside down). Punches fly and stick wherever they want. Putting all the stars on Glue Dots was a challenge, but he did it. And here is a stash of 50 Christmas Pretzels!!! PROJECT DONE!
