Sparkly. Shiny. Pretty. Those three words describe one of the newest Sale-a-Bration freebies from Stampin' Up!, the Metallics Glitter Tape. Here are my other observations.
- It is thicker than Washi Tape.
- It can be cut with scissors or it can be torn (when you can't find your scissors).
- None of the glitter flakes off, even when you rub it.
This morning, I decided to create a card using my least favorite design in the Wildflower Fields Designer Series Paper (DSP), another Sale-a-Bration freebie. I like 11 out of the 12 designs in the DSP, which is good. Could the Metallics Glitter Tape make this DSP look better?
I used the white Metallics Glitter Tape across three of the stripes. No measuring or eye-balling, just used the lines on the DSP as my guide. The design on the DSP shows through, but the Glitter Tape tones the design down and gives the DSP a totally different look.
I added a flower and leaves from the Rose Garden Thinlits Dies and two scallop circle punches. The words are from the Rose Wonder Stamp Set. A few Pearls finished off this easy, peasy card! The Glitter Tape adds some depth to the DSP and makes it look sparkly, shiny and pretty!
