Today's project is a card I made at a stamp class that I took while I was in Salt Lake City a couple of weeks ago.
The fleur de lis image is from the Timeless Textures Stamp Set. It was stamped on the Rose Red Cardstock with a VersaMark Ink Pad. The rose image is from the Birthday Blooms Stamp Set, and was stamped on Very Vanilla Cardstock with a Jet Black Staz-on Ink Pad.
I took a Clear Wink of Stella Glitter Brush (other people used the Gold Wink of Stella) and dipped it in a few drops of Old Olive Ink Refill and began coloring the leaves, just like I've done before with an AquaPainter. When I wanted to change to another color of Ink Refill, I wiped the Glitter Brush on a paper towel. In one step, I added color and subtle glimmer to the image.
In all honesty, I was a bit uncomfortable doing this technique because I thought I was going to ruin the Glitter Brush. But I didn't. Next time, I will add more shading to the image and be a bit neater!
After everything dried, I adhered the rose image to the Old Olive Cardstock and added the Crochet Trim. I used Dimensionals to mount the Old Olive Cardstock to the Rose Red Cardstock. I wish my camera showed the beautiful sheen from the Wink of Stella Glitter Brush.
