My hubby had a milestone birthday on Saturday. I had to make him a fun "older than dirt" gift to tease him about his age. You will need to a clear glass jar with screw-on lid to make this gift.
There are two things to think about:
- If the recipient of the gift is a gardener, then use real dirt in the jar. You can also attach a seed packet to the jar along with the tag.
- If the recipient of the gift isn't a gardener, then you get to put Oreo Cookies in a blender until they become small crumbs. Put the Oreo crumbs in the jar.
I used the Little Letters Thinlits Dies and some leftover adhesive shelf liner to make the word "dirt" to put on the jar.
Type this cute verse and print it from your computer on Whisper White Cardstock. Then attach it to a Basic Black Cardstock base. Punch a hole in the corner and attach the tag with some Linen Thread to the jar cover.
Gardeners can plant the seeds in the jar. Non-Gardeners can use the Oreo crumbs on ice cream, in smoothies or in a glass of milk. Have fun creating a unique gift!
