It's a personalized birthday card for my younger brother today. We are 21 months apart in age and he lives about 40 miles away from me. It is Dave's milestone birthday that sparked the birthday celebration this weekend for my siblings with November birthdays. Since he can make or fix just about anything, I used the Guy Greetings Stamp Set, along with the Large Numbers Framelits, to design his birthday card.
An embossed number 60 on a scalloped circle is screaming for attention on this card. That's perfect for a milestone birthday! The stamped tools and strip of Silver Foil definitely take the back seat.
The hashtag is from the I'm Bringing Birthdays Back stamp. The BRO is from the "brother" image in the Guy Greetings Stamp Set. Both were cut freehand with the Paper Snips and attached with Dimensionals.
When stamping the tool image, I tried to stamp three evenly-spaced images. I didn't like how it looked, so that went into the circular file. I re-stamped the tools, starting with a half image, two full images and another half image. That looked so much better.
If you have ever been to or had a milestone birthday party, it is common to see duplicate store-brought cards. The beauty of creating your own unique cards is there will not be a duplicate. And, it is a one-of-a-kind, personalized card created just for them!
