On Sunday afternoon, I was one of the presenters at the Creative Connections event. The organizers must have liked what I presented last year because they invited me back again this year. LOL! There were about 270 demonstrators who attended. Over the next few blogging days, I will be highlighting five projects that I shared in my presentation using the Painted Harvest Stamp Set.
Even though the Painted Harvest Stamp Set was designed for a sunflower look, it can be used all year. I used the "Scotch tape" method of covering the part of the sentiment image I didn't want to use. Then I inked it in the Sahara Sand Ink Pad. Remember to remove the Scotch tape before pressing the image on the Whisper White Cardstock.
Card Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Whisper White Cardstock, scored at 4 1/4".
First Layer: 3 5/8" x 4 7/8" Sahara Sand Cardstock
Second Layer: 3 1/2" x 4 3/4" Whisper White Cardstock
Third Layer: 2 1/4" x 2 1/4" Silver Foil Sheet, attached with Dimensionals.
Fourth Layer: 2" x 2" Whisper White Cardstock
The flower image is a two-step stamping image. I used Bermuda Bay Ink for both images. On the larger image, ink up the image and stamp off once on scratch paper. You will get a faint image. With the smaller floral image, ink it up in Bermuda Bay Ink and line it up with the larger image. You will get a bolder image that matches perfectly. The center of the flower is in Sahara Sand Ink. The fern image was inked up once in the Pear Pizzazz Ink Pad and stamped three times to give different shading looks.
A few strands of the Silver Metallic Thread and three of the silver Metallic Enamel Shapes finished off this simple card.
Here I am ready to give my presentation with the spotlights over my head and in my face. Between being nervous/excited and the lights, I think my makeup melted off my face!

Last weekend was jammed packed with exciting Stampin' Up! events. Saturday was the Holiday Catalog Open House. The displays were over-the-top! If you weren't able to attend, you truly missed creativity in overdrive! It was wonderful to have a chance to visit with those of you who attended. And, as I said above, Sunday was the Creative Connections event. It is always wonderful to see my demonstrator friends I've met over the years at this event.
I have never looked forward to a root canal before, but I did yesterday. I came home with no pain! Today, I'm finishing up getting the garage sale ready to open on Wednesday and Thursday. I can't wait for all of the treasures to be gone. Have a thrilling Tuesday!!! Thanks for stopping by!
