The Springtime Foils Specialty Designer Series Paper ("DSP") was introduced in the second Sale-a-Bration Flyer starting February 16. It is free with a $50 order (before s/h & tax). Each package of the DSP includes 12 sheets: 3 each of 4 single-sided designs. They are 12" x 12" sheets in three colors: Gold foil, Rose Gold foil and Silver foil.
Within a week, people were coloring the DSP with Stampin' Blends. They used pieces of the DSP for their projects or were cutting out the images for their projects.
But that wasn't enough. Someone created the Faux Black Stainless Steel Technique with this DSP.
After coloring the images with the Stampin' Blends, drag a Black Memento Ink Pad across the DSP.
Take a couple of paper towels and burnish the area covered with Memento Black Ink. The excess black ink is removed and the colors pop!
I decided to design a card using a piece of the colorful DSP.
Card Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Old Olive Cardstock, scored at 4 1/4"
First Layer: 3 3/4" x 5" Basic Black Cardstock, placed inside the Petal Burst Embossing Folder and put through the Big Shot.
Second Layer: 1 3/4" x 5" Copper Foil Sheet
Third Layer: 1 1/2" x 5" DSP
The sentiment was heat embossed with Copper Embossing Powder on Basic Black Cardstock. It was punched out with the Tailored Tag Punch. Cut a backing for the Basic Black punch using a scrap of a Copper Foil Sheet. Attach this to the card with Dimensionals.
This week has been fun spending time with family members and one of my stamp clubs. Yesterday, I had lunch with a team member, ran some errands and got a long, overdue haircut. Today, I have a breakfast meeting with some other demonstrators. Have a friendly Friday!!! Enjoy your weekend!
