Today's project is a birthday card that uses the understated and earthy colors of Crumb Cake and Soft Suede. There is an added touch of bright colors peeking out at the bottom of this card. I'm pleased that both the Label Me Pretty Stamp Set and the Marbled Background Stamp, used to create this card, will both be in the 2018-2019 Annual Catalog.
The sentiment is stamped in Soft Suede Ink on a scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock. It is colored with Watercolor Pencils. Next, a Blender Pen was used to smooth out the coloring. Then, the flowers were highlighted with some Clear Wink of Stella. Punch the sentiment out with the Pretty Label Punch.
Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Soft Suede Cardstock
First Layer: 5 1/4" x 8" Crumb Cake Cardstock, scored at 4". Use Crumb Cake Ink on the Marbled Background Stamp to the front of this layer.
Inside: Scrap of Very Vanilla Cardstock
From the bottom front of the card, use the Pretty Label Punch to make a window. Put SNAIL Adhesive on the back of the punched out and colored sentiment. Close the card and place the sentiment through the window to attach it to the inside.
Randomly place the Tutti-Frutti Sequins on the front of the card. The final touch is to add a Linen Thread bow.

Last weekend's retreat ended up being a five-day retreat. The blizzard we had over the weekend made traveling dangerous. The owners of the retreat house offered us an extra night for free! That was such an unexpected surprise. When we left on Monday, no one had any trouble getting home. The weekend was a relaxing and fun escape from reality. Drum roll please . . . I completed my huge scrapbooking project. Woo hoo!!! Have a wonderful Wednesday!
