Stampin' Up! publishes a quarterly magazine for demonstrators, called Stampin' Success. There was a card in a recent magazine issue that inspired me to create today's project using the Lovely Wishes Stamp Set. Of course, I had to make a few changes to the original card.
This card caught my eye for two reasons:
- It used the color scheme of black and white, along with Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive, and
- The floral images were stamped sideways, which I would never think of doing.
Card Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Flirty Flamingo Cardstock, scored at 4 1/4". Place the front of the cardstock inside the Layered Leaves Embossing Folder and put it through the Big Shot.
First Layer: 2 3/4" x 3 3/4" Basic Black Cardstock. Attach with Mini Dimensionals.
Second Layer: 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" Glossy White Cardstock. Stamp floral images in Black Memento Ink. Color with Flirty Flamingo and Old Olive Markers. Wrap Old Olive Sheer Ribbon around the Glossy White Cardstock.
Third Layer: 1/2" x 2 3/4" Flirty Flamingo Cardstock. Stamp the sentiment in Black Memento Ink. Use Paper Snips to trim the ends in a "v". Attach with Mini Dimensionals over the ribbon.
The final touch is to add Pearls to the front of the card.
A reminder that the 2016-2018 In Colors are retiring. Don't hesitate in getting these items because they are always the first to sell out.
Yesterday, I spent most of the morning working on creative projects with some of my team members, followed by lunch at a local restaurant. Today, I'm spending the day shopping with a friend. I wonder if we will find any treasures? I am much obliged that you stopped by my blog today! Have a fabulous Friday!!!
