Last Saturday, I had to make ten card swaps using a new stamp set in the Annual Catalog. I decided to use the Enjoy Life Stamp Set (page 58) and created a box card. Seriously simple to make. It folds flat in the envelope and then stands proud on display.
Here is the card, front and center.
Here is the front of the card standing on display.
Here is the back of the card on display. You can write your words of greeting on the back of the card or attach a Post-It note.
Card Base: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Tranquil Tide Cardstock. Use the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score at 3/8" and 3/4" on both ends.
Top Layer: 4 1/4" x 5 1/2" Whisper White Cardstock. Use a Layering Circle Framelit in the center and put through the Big Shot. Then put inside the Scattered Sequins Embossing Folder and put through the Big Shot. Use the Simply Scored Scoring Tool to score at 3/8" and 3/4" on both ends. Place Tear & Tape on the two side edges and attach to the Card Base.
Inside: Use Layering Circle Framelit on Silver Foil Paper and attach with Dimensionals. Stamp the sentiment in Tranquil Tide Ink on a scalloped Layering Circle Framelit. Attach to the Silver Foil circle with Dimensionals.
Use Paper Snips to fussy cut two butterflies, which are attached to the Top Layer with Mini Dimensionals. A Rhinestone Jewel was placed by the butterflies. Tie the Silver 3/8" Metallic-Edge Ribbon in a bow and attached with a Glue Dot to the Top Layer.
For once, I found a project that could use some leftover ribbon. The only problem is it was it was very wrinkled ribbon. My flat iron came to the rescue. You have to work fast dragging the ribbon through the flat iron, otherwise, you'll have scorched or melted ribbon.
