Today's card was designed around the sentiment, "kindness changes everything", which is found in the Abstract Impressions Stamp Set. This card was designed to be bright and cheery by using the color scheme of Berry Burst, Powder Pink and a touch of silver.
How many of you remember back in the "olden" days of rubber stamping, when you took a ruler and a bone folder and scored diagonal lines on cardstock? I sure do! Now you can get that look quickly by using the Tufted Embossing Folder.
Card Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Powder Pink Cardstock, scored at 4 1/4".
First Layer: 3 3/4" x 5" Berry Burst Cardstock. Place inside the Tufted Embossing Folder and put through the Big Shot.
Second Layer: Put the scalloped Layering Circles Framelit on a scrap of Vellum Cardstock and put through the Big Shot. Attach to the First Layer with Dimensionals.
Third Layer: Put the circle Stitched Shapes Framelit on a scrap of Powder Pink Cardstock and put through the Big Shot. Stamp the sentiment in VersaMark Ink and cover with Silver Embossing Powder. Use the Heat Tool to set the embossing powder. Attach to the Second Layer with SNAIL Adhesive.
Use the Sprig Punch on a scrap of Vellum Cardstock and on a scrap of a Silver Foil Sheet. Attach them to the Third Layer with Glue Dots. Make a bow from the 3/8" Berry Burst Metallic-Edge Ribbon and attach over the ends of the Sprig Punches with Glue Dots. The final touch is to add three Clear Rhinestone Jewels.
Our youngest grandgirl got her own table in my studio for the last two weeks that she has been off of school. This was from last week's papercrafting projects. She takes my box of leftover Big Shot items and creates projects with them.
This week, she has been painting on canvases.
Her other grandma taught her this marbled technique. Put craft paint in a glass and pour on a canvas. Tip the canvas until the paint covers it. I lost count how many of these canvases she made.
Today is the last day she is at our house. I'm taking her to the apple orchard to buy apples, go on a hay ride, traipse through a corn maze and enjoy a beautiful Fall day with her. Then back to the house for a few more hours of art. Have a fabulous Friday and a wondrous weekend!!!
