Stampin' Up! is focusing on simple stamping this year. As most of you know, the longer you are a papercrafter, the more you tend to make challenging projects. These challenging projects are definitely WOW's and get tons of accolades. Yet they can be overwhelming for beginner and occasional papercrafters.
With the simple stamping theme in mind, today's project is a birthday card using the Amazing Life Stamp Set, which can be found on page 28 of the Occasions Catalog. My friend, Lisa Schultz, made this card, but she used a different stamp set and different colors. She was kind enough to give me the okay to copy her design.
The color scheme is Sahara Sand, Whisper White, Calypso Coral and Bermuda Bay.
Directions:
Card Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Sahara Sand Cardstock, scored at 4 1/4"
First Layer: 3 3/4" x 5" Sahara Sand Cardstock. Place inside the Dot to Dot Embossing Folder and run through the Big Shot.
Second Layer: Scrap of Calypso Coral Cardstock. Place scalloped Oval Layering Framelit on it and run through the Big Shot. Attach to First Layer with Dimensionals.
Third Layer: Stamp image in Bermuda Bay Ink on a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock. Place an oval Stitched Shapes Framelit on it and run through the Big Shot.
Fourth Layer: Stamp sentiment in Bermuda Bay Ink on a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock. Punch out with the Classic Label punch and attach to the Third Layer.
Add Wink of Stella to the cake and candle to get some glitz, which never appears in my photographs. The final step is to tie a knot in the Calypso Coral 3/8" Satin Ribbon and attach with a Glue Dot to the Third Layer.
