Is there anything more fun in papercrafting than finding something that you have never done before? One of my team members sent me a card using a unique stand-up card. I looked at it carefully, analyzing the fold lines and double-checking that it would fit in an envelope. And, I wanted to make sure that it wasn't too difficult to make. Thank you, Autumn Wiste, for your card, which inspired me.
There are only five pieces of cardstock to make this card.
I used the Hello Cupcake Stamp Set, which is a Sale-a-Bration freebie you can get with a $50 order (before s/h & tax). But it is only available until March 31, 2019. The color scheme used on this card is Crumb Cake, So Saffron, Poppy Parade and Whisper White.
This card stands up by itself. Doesn't that cupcake look delish? I smile every time I see this card.
Here is another view of the card laying down.
Card Base: 4 1/4" x 8" So Saffron Cardstock. Score at 1 1/4", 2 1/2", 5 1/2" and 6 3/4" and fold on the score lines.
When you fold on the score lines, it looks like this.
First Layer: Scrap of Poppy Parade Cardstock. Lay the scalloped Layering Ovals Framelit on it and put it through the Big Shot. Attach to Card Base with Dimensionals.
Second Layer: Scrap of Whisper White Cardstock. Lay the Layering Ovals Framelit on it and put it through the Big Shot. Stamp images and attach to the First Layer.
Third Layer: 1 1/4" x 5 1/2" Crumb Cake Cardstock. Put one inch of Tear & Tape Adhesive on the two ends. Don't remove the paper backing.
Fourth Layer: 1" x 5 1/2" So Saffron Cardstock. Stamp sentiment in Poppy Parade Ink. Stamp the sprinkles image in So Saffron Ink. Attach to the Third Layer. Remove the paper backing on one of the Tear & Tape strips. Line it up with one side of the First Layer. Repeat for the other side.
The card folds flat and fits perfectly inside a medium-sized Stampin' Up! envelope.
Purchase your papercrafting products in my online store here. Don't forget it is Sale-a-Bration time is until March 31, 2019. For each $50 you spend (before s/h & tax), you will earn a free item.
Here are the three additional Sale-a-Bration items that were introduced on February 15 .
Stampin' Up! has never done this before, but it is brilliant! How about a stamp set and punch that coordinates with all the Sale-a-Bration stamp sets? And, how about framelits for some of the most popular Sale-a-Bration stamp sets?

How fortunate that I was able to have one Stamp Therapy Class this week. It looks like Sunday's class will have to be rescheduled because of another snow storm. Today, our youngest grandgirl has no school, so she's here to brighten up our day! Have a friendly Friday and a warm weekend!!!
