Do you ever order something and forget to use it? That happened to me. I ordered the Dog Builder Punch on page 33 of the Occasions Catalog. When I received my order, I put the punch with my other punches and forgot to use it. Yikes! While I was on Instagram a few weeks ago, I saw a card that Wendy Cranford created using the Dog Builder Punch and the Cat Punch. She created a window card and had the cat and dog sitting in the window. It was so cute, that I had to copy her idea with a couple of changes.
I used the Label Me Pretty Stamp Set and the color scheme of Crumb Cake, Soft Suede and Old Olive for my card design.
Card Base: 4 1/4" x 11" Crumb Cake Cardstock, scored at 5 1/2". Place a Rectangle Stitched Framelit Die on the front of the Crumb Cake Cardstock and put through the Big Shot. Stamp the sentiment in Soft Suede Ink and place on the inside of the Card Base. Punch a heart using the Dog Builder Punch from a scrap of Old Olive Cardstock and attach it with a Mini Dimensional.
First Layer: On a scrap of Soft Suede Cardstock, punch out the dog or cat image. Attach to the inside of the "window" using SNAIL Adhesive. Tie a piece of Old Olive Twine around the neck of the cat or dog punch and trim with Paper Snips.
In this photo, you can see that only a small portion of the dog and cat punches are attached to the bottom of the "window".
