On page 48 of the Occasions Catalog, you will find the Beautifully Detailed Laser-Cut Specialty Paper ("Specialty Paper"). It has eight 12" x 12" sheets, with one side white and the other side Petal Pink. It provides beautiful accents pieces for any papercrafting project.
Some people have told me they are intimidated by this Specialty Paper and don't really know an easy way to use it. Wouldn't you know, I was on Pinterest and found some inspiration. I used the Varied Vases Stamp Set, numerous punches and the Specialty Paper for this card.
Card Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Whisper White Cardstock, scored at 4 1/4".
First Layer: 3 3/4" x 5" Whisper White Cardstock. Use the 1 3/4" Circle Punch on the right side of the cardstock.
Use the 2" Circle Punch on the Specialty Paper and set aside. Put SNAIL Adhesive on the backside of the First Layer around the 1 3/4" punched out circle. Place the Specialty Paper on top of the 1 3/4" punched out circle, so the Petal Pink side is in front. Attach the First Layer to the Card Base with SNAIL Adhesive.
Stamp the vase image in Sahara Sand Ink on the First Layer. Use a Pear Pizzazz Marker to draw a flower stem. With a scrap of Petal Pink and Pear Pizzazz Cardstock, use the Bitty Blooms Punch Pack and punch out a flower and a leaf. Attach with Glue Dots. Add a Basic Rhinestone to the center of the flower.
Stamp the sentiment with Sahara Sand Ink on a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock. Punch it out with the Classic Label Punch and adhere with SNAIL Adhesive to the First Layer. Now you know a simple way to use the Specialty Paper. It adds unique elegance to this card!
