If any of you are into decorating trends, then you will quickly recognize today's project is the farmhouse style. It uses Buffalo Check, Burlap Ribbon and a Boxwood Wreath. My inspiration for this card was found on Pinterest.
It was fun to find a home decor piece for inspiration and then create a handmade card.
What I'm really excited about is this card is ready a week before I need it! [insert happy face]
Card Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Crumb Cake Cardstock, scored at 4 1/4". Place the front inside the Subtle Embossing Folder and put through the Big Shot.
First Layer: 3 1/4" x 4 1/2" Whisper White Cardstock. Use Black Memento Ink on the Buffalo Check Background Stamp and press on the Cardstock. Use SNAIL Adhesive to attach to the Card Base.
Second Layer: 2 3/4" x 4 1/2" Basic Black Cardstock
Third Layer: Place the 2 5/8" x 4" Rectangle Stitched Framelit Die on a piece of Crumb Cake Cardstock and put through the Big Shot. Attach to the Second Layer with SNAIL Adhesive.
- Unwind the Boxwood Wreath Embellishment.
- Use Paper Snips and cut a three-strand section from the 5/8" Burlap Ribbon (about 2 or 2 1/2" long).
- Wrap the Ribbon around the top of the Wreath and use a Glue Dot to secure it together. Wrap it around the back of the Second Layer and secure it with Glue Dots. Attach to the First Layer with Dimensionals.
- Use a couple of Glue Dots to hold the Wreath in place.
The final touch is to place the "welcome" from the Well Written Framelits on a scrap of Basic Black Cardstock and run it through the Big Shot. Use the Fine-Tip Glue Pen to attach it to the bottom of the Third Layer.
