Welcome to this month's Blog Hop. This month, we are featuring projects created with Autumn vibes. Since Autumn begins on Monday, this is the perfect time to share and inspire you!
Earlier this month, I went to a craft store with some friends. I saw a sample on display and immediately knew I had to make it.
It started with this 7 1/2" x 15 1/2" deer head. Some of you may be a bit shocked that I would do any craft project using to a deer head. I'm not into decorating anything with a hunting theme. But, never say never!
Is this not the cutest deer head you have ever seen? I used two sheets of the Pressed Petals Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP). I could have used the beautiful floral sheets in this DSP, but decided to use the leaf images. I traced the deer head on the back side of the DSP and cut it out with Paper Snips. Attaching the DSP to the deer head was simple with the Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
To create the floral spray, I used Vellum, Pear Pizzazz and Mossy Meadow Cardstock. The punches used were the Leaf, Sprig, Medium Daisy and Daisy. I also used the 1 3/8" Scallop Circle and 1 1/8" Scallop Circle Punches, where I created petals by using the Paper Snips. All the punches were attached together with Glue Dots. A Perennial Essence Floral Center was perfect to finish off the floral spray. The floral spray was attached to the deer head with Dimensionals.
