Welcome to this month's Blog Hop featuring projects about gratefulness. Using Stampin' Up! products to create unique pieces of home decor is one of my favorite things to do. Today's project uses an 8" x 8" display frame purchased from a local craft store. Display frames allow for three-dimensional art to be placed on a wall, on a shelf or in a easel.
This is the completed base before it was put inside the display frame.
Base: 8" x 8" Very Vanilla Cardstock
Swirls: Place the Flourish Thinlits Die on scraps of Cajun Craze Cardstock and put through a Die Cutting Machine. Attach three Swirls with a Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
Banner: 2" x 8" Vellum Cardstock and use the Banner Triple Punch on both ends. Use a Bone Folder to curl the ends. Place the Hand-Lettered Prose Dies on scraps of Basic Black Cardstock and put through a Die Cutting Machine. Attach the letters to the Banner with a Fine-Tip Glue Pen. Attach the banner to the Base with a Fine-Tip Glue Pen.
Flowers: Scraps of Cherry Cobbler, Pumpkin Pie and So Saffron Cardstock. Use the Medium Daisy Punch and the Daisy Punch and punch two of each size and color. Use a Bone Folder to curl the edges of the daisies. Attach them together with Glue Dots. Add Gold Faceted Gems in the centers. They are attached to the Base with Dimensionals.
The final touch is to use the Take Your Pick Tool (piercer tip), a Pierce Mat and a Pearlized Doily. Lay a Doily over each flower and pierce holes around them using the holes in the Pearlized Doily as a guide.
Ta-da! My grateful frame is complete. This will be a good visual reminder to have an attitude of gratitude.
