Which color is your favorite, Pool Party or Petal Pink? Today's project is one where you get to decide on the which color to use. I've paired the Forever Blossoms Stamp Set with the Parisian Blossoms Specialty Designer Series Paper (DSP).
Pool Party is on the left and Petal Pink is on the right. The bonus of using the DSP is there are two sides to pick from. Of course, if you love both sides of the DSP, you can order two packages of it!
The layout for these cards is from a birthday card that I received from my team member, Pam H. I'm always on the lookout for a new layout and I couldn't wait to use this one. If you are wondering what the card base is, you will be happy to know it is the Silver Foiled Cards with matching Envelopes. These are a favorite of mine when I need a quick card. They make any card design look elegant. And, since the DSP has silver on some of the papers, they coordinate beautifully.
Card Base: Silver Foiled Cards (4 4/4" x 5 1/2") No cutting necessary.
First Layer: Use three coordinating pieces of DSP. The two vertical pieces are 1 3/4" x 3" and the one horizontal is 1 3/4" x 3 1/2".
Second Layer: Lay a scrap of Whisper White Cardstock under a Stitched Nested Labels Die. Put through a Die Cutting Machine to cut out. Stamp the sentiment in a Pool Party or a Petal Pink Ink Pad and put Dimensionals on the back. Wrap Silver Metallic Thread around your fingers to make loops. Lay them on the right side of the First Layer. Remove the backing on the Dimensionals and attach over the Silver Metallic Thread.
Fourth Layer: Use Paper Snips to fussy cut a flower from the DSP. Take a Basic Black Marker and lightly press it along the cut edges of the flower. This gives a finished look to the flower and hides my not so fussy cutting.
The flower is attached with SNAIL Adhesive. A Basic Rhinestone Jewel is added to the center of the flower.
I used a Pool Party jewel from the Holiday Rhinestone Basic Jewels in the center of this flower.

The freezing temperatures in Minnesota are now gone! Yippee!!! My pots of annual flowers had to be put back inside the garage for 4-5 nights. Some of them aren't looking too happy, so I'll have to give them extra TLC.
The last three days has been Stampin' Up!'s OnTour Online. It was suppose to be a one-day event in select cities throughout the world. I hadn't planned on going. But due to the pandemic, it became a three-day online event. We have been watching Facebook Live demonstrations of products from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalog. We have received an update on the state of Stampin' Up! from the management team. We had Speed Networking Sessions on Wednesday, where I was in a Zoom meeting with 50 other English-speaking demonstrators from around the world. Then that group was put in break-out rooms on Zoom with six demonstrators. We all had the opportunity to share our best business tips. That truly was invaluable information. Yesterday, was more demonstrations of new products, plus help in strategic planning. It was an informative and motivating event. Just what I needed!
Thank you for stopping by! Have a friendly Friday!!!
