Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop where we are featuring spooktacular Halloween treats. My projects focus on the Little Treat Box Dies. Making 3D projects isn't something I do very often. When I saw a preview of these Dies, I knew they were going into my shopping cart! They are so simple to make and decorate!!!
It was fun to make these for the three grandgirls. These are the perfect for a sweet treat and gift cards. S-h-h, don't tell them!
I wanted to use cardstock, Designer Series Paper and Rainbow Glimmer Paper for the treat boxes. And, I wanted to use some nontraditional Halloween colors.
Left: Plaid Tidings Designer Series Paper; Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White and Basic Black Cardstock, Black Memento Ink Pad, Everything Essential Stamp Set, 1/4" Crinkled Seam Binding Ribbon, Pumpkin Pie Blends to color the ribbon.
Center: Concord Grape and Purple Posy Cardstock, Cobweb Embossing Folder, 3/8" Purple Tricolor Ribbon, Playful Alphabet Dies
Right: Rainbow Glimmer Paper, Basic Black and Daffodil Delight Cardstock, Black Memento Ink Pad, sentiment from Itty Bitty Greetings, Cat Punch, 1/4" Magenta Madness In Color Ribbon
Did you know Stampin' Up! demonstrators cannot just make something how it was meant to be made? Oh no! Their creativity goes into overdrive and they come up with ways to make even this Little Treat Box Die a different size.
- The left box is two boxes adhered together. Cut off the two inside ends. This was my own idea. Shocked? Me too!
- The center box uses a piece of 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Gray Granite Cardstock. Stop half-way when putting the Little Treats Box Die through the Embossing & Die Cutting Machine. Turn the cardstock and place the die over it and put through half-way again in the Embossing & Die Cutting Machine.
- The right box uses a piece of 5 1/2" x 9 3/4" Granny Apple Green cardstock. Stop half-way when putting the Little Treats Box Die through the Embossing & Die Cutting Machine. Turn the cardstock and place the die over it and put through half-way again in the Embossing & Die Cutting Machine. I got the idea from Buckeye Inking for making the boxes larger.
