Welcome to the Creative Inking Blog Hop where Stampin' Up! demonstrators are sharing cards made with fun folds. Making handmade cards with a fun fold adds a unique element to your creation. My project features these products from the 2021-2022 Annual Catalog:
Color & Contour Stamp Set
Scalloped Contours Dies
Simply Elegant 12" x 12" Specialty Designer Series Paper (one side has copper, gold and silver foil accents)
Here is my fun fold card using the above supplies.
It doesn't look like a fun fold card right now.
But when you take it out of the envelope, it starts to unfold.
And, then it really opens and you can see the inside.
Card Base: 5 1/2" x 8 1/2" Basic Black Cardstock, scored at 2 1/8" on both ends.
Inside: 4" x 5 1/4" Very Vanilla Cardstock
First Layer: 1 3/4" x 5 1/4" Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper. Adhere to the front folds of the Card Base.
Second Layer (top fold): 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" Basic Black Cardstock. Adhere 2 1/2" x 4" Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper. Use Black Dimensionals on the left edge to attach to the First Layer.
Second Layer (bottom fold): 2 3/4" x 4 1/4" Basic Black Cardstock. Adhere 2 1/2" x 4" Simply Elegant Specialty Designer Series Paper. Use Black Dimensionals on the right edge to attach to the First Layer.
Third Layer: On a scrap of Basic Black Cardstock, stamp the sentiment in VersaMark Ink and put the Metallics (gold) Embossing Powder over it. Shake off the excess powder and heat with a Heat Tool. Then center the Scalloped Contours Die over the sentiment and put it through the Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine. Attached it to the Second Layer Top Fold with Black Dimensionals. The final touch is to use a Glue Dot to attach a bow made from the Glittered Organdy Ribbon.
Here is the completed card with an inside view.
The touches of silver and gold foil on the Designer Series Paper helped me decide to use Gold Embossing Powder on the sentiment and the ribbon with the silver glitter. This is the perfect fun fold card to show how you can blend both silver and gold accents together.
