Today, I'm sharing three home decor projects that were part of an Annual Catalog Product Extravaganza. On page 150 of the Annual Catalog, you will find the World of Good Designer Series Paper (DSP).
These are six 12" x 12" sheets of two-sided designs. Some of the sheets have brass foil designs.
Project #1:
In my stash, I found a wooden letter "A". It is 14" high by 11" wide. I purposely used a sheet of the DSP with a random pattern, so there was no need to be fussy. Just measure the letter width and cut the DSP with a Paper Trimmer. Use the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach the DSP pieces to the "A".
Use the Playful Alphabet Dies on scraps of Early Espresso Cardstock and put through a die cutting machine. Attach the letters with Multipurpose Liquid Glue.
Since I have two grandgirls' whose names start with "A", this will be a perfect gift for one of them.
Project #2:
This 8 3/4" x 8 3/4" square mirror had silver strips around it. I cut 3/4" x 8" pieces of DSP and used the Multipurpose Liquid Glue to attach the DSP over the silver strips. This was ridiculously simple to do. No mitered corners; just overlapped the DSP.
(I set a piece of paper over the mirror, so I could get a photo without me in my pj's and bed hair staring back at you.)
Project #3:
This battery-operated candle went from plain to fancy. I cut two 1/2" x 8" pieces of DSP and put Tear & Tape Adhesive on the back side. Adhered the bottom DSP first to the candle, left some space and adhered the top DSP. Spaced some Champagne Rhinestone Basic Jewels in between the DSP pieces.
I hope these three projects inspire you to look around your home and see how you can use Designer Series Paper to freshen up some decor pieces.
